Two Patterns for Simon Says Stamp

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp was two pattern papers. 

I used a card kit for this one, but blended two pattern papers for my creation.

I adored these papers, which were part of a kit from last year.

Inspired by The Card Concept, created this one Valentines Day card which is a bit clean and layered. 

 Amazing what glitter paper and sequin can do to improve the mood.  I was inspired by the white space and that black and white pillow.

Love and Ice Cream for Freshly Made Sketches

Worked on a little something for Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.  I created my background using the negative pieces of a cover die, and then went to work on on image and sentiment based on the sketch.

Sparkle for Always Fun Challenge

"Sparkle" is the theme at Always Fun Challenge, so I had to play around with some bling.

 Varied degrees of shimmer . . . the shimmer of the Nuvo powders, the sparkle of the embossing glitter and the added shimmer trim tape. 

Decided to keep my snowflakes and sentiment flat white with all the other sparkly happening.

Shopping Our Stash - Special Delivery

I love the concept of "Shopping Our Stash" . . . using supplies that we have on hand.  I dug thru my stash of supplies to create a holiday card, and really dug deep for this one.  I had a box of supplies from an old Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, lots of pattern paper left.  Created a simple card using one of the panel pieces. 

Used the border with the cars and trees that matched up well to the panel with Santa and his presents and tree . . . 

There is one less box in my craft room.  Barely noticeable, so I should likely come back and play some more.

Holiday Critters for Lawn Fawn

If you were to ask me a few months back if a Yeti was a critter, I'd say "Oh, heck no!"

But enter the Lawn Fawn Yeti or Not Stamp Set and dies . . . they are adorable critters.  I used them to create some 6 x 6 gift card holders for some folks in my life.  

 I used some combined supplies to create these five boxes . . . including paper from Carta Bella . . .

I got a bit monochromatic for my card . . .

Dear Santa, I Can Explain . . .

The prompt at Inkspirational Challenges was "Naughty".  I couldn't resist playing around using a stamp set in my stash that came right into my head.

The sentiment on this stamp set screamed "naughty" to me.  This little guy had to explain himself, as it appears he has lots of letters to Santa . . . not sure what his story is.  Did he take them out of the mailbox?  Did he write multiple letters to Santa?  I can only imagine his naughty story.  

I had the mailbox embellishment sticker in a kit, and dug it out.  I thought an actual envelope would make a cool background element for the card, so I created my scene on a scrap of white cardstock with some dimension, and then adhered it to a small envelope for some added dimension.

Two Cards for Two Challenges

Created two cards using a card kit that still had some supplies left.  The first one is for Use Your Stuff challenge, where the prompt was snow. 

I stamped and fussy cut my penguins and my igloo.  I let my pattern paper serve as that snowy background and used a "snow" sentiment.  And my igloo gets that sheen from me piping some Liquid Glass . . . ice block by ice block! 

And using the same kit of supplies and the inspiration from Always Fun Challenge, I created a second card and used up my kit!  For this one, the prompt was Snowman. 

For this one, I stamped and fussy cut my snowman, along with stamped and fussy cut mittens, hat and scarf.
