Soda Pop Creations!

While I mostly make cards these days, I do make scrapbook pages once in a while.  When my layout is complete, I will typically take the leftover supplies and trim them down into card-sized panels and pieces.  I remembered having those supplies, and with two challenges in mind, I went digging through my shoe box of scraps.  I pulled out some pieces to make a card honoring one of my favorite beverages, root beer. I gave up soda a year ago, and man do I miss my diet root beer!

Again, keep in mind that the paper was leftover from a layout.  The colors in this card were inspired by Club Cool, an attraction at EPCOT at Walt Disney World.

Stamp Ink Paper inspired this first one . . . #146, which is food or drink.

That colorful strip of paper reminds me of bubbles.

And a bottle and straw for the inside of the card . . .

And while this next one is not CAS, I was inspired by the code word "bubbles" from Addicted to CAS.  Perhaps a little busy for CAS, but I was inspired none the less.  And because I had more supplies, I just had to make another.

It has an open bottle . . . and the sequins are like bubbles.  My imagination runs wild.

Such a fun stamp set to pull back out and play with.

And remember . . . I said there was a layout where these scraps came from. Created it back in January.  Club Cool!  Soda pop from around the world.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Shaker for Just Add Ink

They can be tedious, but I love making shaker cards.  Created this one for the challenge at Just Add Ink.  Wanted my focal to be all about sentiment, so sentiment around the frame and in the window.

I adore that tiny "Hello" stamp.

Created a little something on the CAS side for Mother's Day, inspired by the challenge at CAS on Sunday.

Maybe not a lot of white space, but certainly a lot of kraft space.

Love water coloring on kraft cardstock.

Red and White for Merry Monday

I created a simple card for Merry Monday this morning.  The challenge this week was to create a card with red and white.

I went with a lighter hand on my background stripe, so it would look a bit sketchy.  I split the panel and put my sentiment over the split.

And I may be off to create a little bit more this afternoon.  Great to be inspired by challenges.  I hope you find some time to create.

Birthday Theme for Stamp Ink Paper!

A few weeks back I posted a card using scraps from a scrapbook layout.  I had more scraps in my little side tray next to my craft table, and I couldn't bring myself to throw them out.  It was just a silly strip of Mickey head paper.  So I got out my balloon stamps again and got to work to create another birthday card, inspired by the "birthday" theme this week at Stamp Ink Paper

I went with a kraft background this time, and stamped my balloons in those "mouse" colors.

My Minnie version from a few weeks back can be found here.

One more scrap from the scrap pile is gone.  Phew!

I hope you find some time to create today.
