Merry Monday - CAS Card

Clean and simple is always tough for me, but I went in that direction for this week's Merry Monday challenge.  I guess I'm practicing!

The die cut panel is one that I had saved from another challenge.  I stamped the circular tree image on the green pattern paper with Versamark and embossed in white.

Tomorrow is December 1st . . . time for me to inventory my holiday cards and start sending.  Merry Monday challenge has me so prepared!

Monster Cuteness for Heart 2 Heart

Weeks 3 and 4 for Heart 2 Heart this month were NOvember challenges.  Week 3 was NO Embellishments, and Week 4 was NO Restrictions.  Both were so much fun to work on, because I was working with a really fun stamp with some cute sentiments.

The stamp set is called Love Ya Silly and has the most adorable little monsters.  My first card, which was NO Embellishments, features one little monster stamped on pattern paper.  I also used a second set with some awesome borders.  I wanted to use ribbon, but thought that might be an embellishment.  So I stuck with all paper, all ink, all stamps.

Hmmm . . . I think that I might have stepped over the embellishment line when I gave my monster the gift of sight.

And now for Week 4 which was NO restrictions!  I changed up my pattern paper to Chalk It Up for this next one, but I used that same cute stamp set.  I created little doors so I could use all of the monsters on this card.  Here is the front of the card with the doors semi-closed.

And then just a peek . . .

And there they are, in all their scary monsterness!  Those sentiments are too darn cute.  I did some surgery on two of the sentiments, cutting them apart so I could stack them.  I later realized that it gives me the option of switching the beginning/ends of all the sentiments.  I could say, "So cute I could squish you!" or "I could just eat you!"

Either way, they're so adorable.

Can't wait to play with these little monsters again.

Pocket Card for Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throwdown

The color combination showcased at Color Throwdown this week seemed to match up with some supplies I had from a kit, especially that kraft color.  I had these little brown bags with chevron stripes from my October Card Kit from The Stamps of Life, and I thought those bags would be perfect for that color combo.  I also wanted to find a way to create a pocket card that could include a tag for a gift card.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week, and so we have . .

Here is my card, which includes that brown bag front.

Inside the bag, you can see a tag peeking out.

And here is the tag, slightly pulled out.  I chose to do this as a holiday card, but you could use any sentiment your wanted on this one.

I can't wait to adhere a gift card to this and put it into action.

Supplies Used - Gift Card Pocket Card
All Material from The Stamps of Life October Card Kit except for the sentiment on the tag, which is from The September Card Kit and the ribbon which is from Stampin' Up.  I used some circle dies from The Stamps of Life for my tag and for that indentation in the pocket.
