Vintage for Cardz 4 Guys

When I saw "vintage" as the prompt at Cardz 4 Guys, I new I had to play long with some paper that I had off to the side of my work table.

I don't own a lot of vintage stamps, so while there was ink for inking, there was no no ink for stamping.  I used pattern papers from an old button farm kit that I couldn't part with.  I did enjoy making the tag, which has a vellum background and a kraft paper string.

Something different . . . keeps me being crafty.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Literature Inspired by The Library Challenge

My card today was inspired by The Library Challenge's book cover, Five Weeks in a Balloon.  Here is the book cover . . .

five weeks in a balloon book - Google Search

For my card I was inspired to use some Graphic 45 paper and paper piece my balloon image using a stamp and die from The Stamps of Life.

I split by sentiment for added interest.  Lots of inking and popping of images, and I love those little postage stamps.

I hope you find some time to create today.

A Puzzle and a Bee

I have a few cards to share today, for a few challenges that inspired me.

First up . . . a masculine card for Stamp Ink Paper.  I always go with bold or earthy colors on those cards.  For this one, I went completely earthy!

Such a simple card . . . but I love the end result.

And of course that missing piece ends up on the inside of the card.

Second up . . . an insect on a card.  I have to be honest, if the insect isn't cute and whimsical . . . it won't make it into my craft room (unless it's real, and that's  whole different situation). But these cute little bees made it easy to get crafty so I could participate in this week's CASology card challenge.

I used stamps, paper and supplies from The Stamps of Life to create this card.  And Stickles was my bestie for this one!

I certainly hope you find some time to create today!
