"Celebrate" Inspired Card for The Paper Players

Sharing a card inspired by the challenge at The Paper Players.  Pulled a box of supplies from a kit out and got busy with some scraps.

Not sure how I feel about the strings, but I attached the to the varying sentiment strips at the bottom and left them all hanging and a bit wonky.

I am in love with that little balloon die.

I hope you find some time to create today!

To the Beach and Back

Took a stab at a CAS card for CAS Colours & Sketches.  This week they had a color challenge.

CAS cards are not always easy for me, so I tried to keep some white space, and tried not to have too much layering of my elements, which is where the colors from the challenge came into play.

I hope you have a chance to inky and sparkly today.

Summer Inspired . . . Less Monday . . . More Summer

Created this card for Little Red Wagon Challenge Blog.  The inspiration was "summertime fun".  Honestly, this one was so fun!

That pattern paper needs to cover an ice cream truck.  This one was a combination of paper piecing and blender pen.  I literally want that ice cream truck to come past my house!

This makes me want to die cut more trucks!

Go create!

You're So Sweet for SOS

Created a mini shaker on my card for the Shopping Our Stash challenge, which had the prompt of "You're So Sweet."

I used some daisy paper from my stash.  Love daisies.  Meg Ryan's character in You've Got Mail thinks they are "the friendliest flower".  I kind of have to agree with "Kathleen Kelly" on that one.

The shaker is where my "sweet" sentiment would land.

And behind the shutters is my sweet cupcake holding critter.  The cupcake papers were paper pieced and I used a blender pen to color my critter, frosting and candles.

I hope you have a chance to be creative this week.

Oh Ship!

I saw the inspirational photo at The Card Concept and knew exactly the materials I needed to pull for a card.  I have this one box of supplies with a sailboat die, and sailboat paper.

And it's all about the red, white and blue.  This one will be good for a belated birthday (which I'm really good at).   Clearly went with clean and layered!

The weekend is nearing it's end . . . so go create!

Mr. & Meeces Celebration for House Mouse & Friends

House Mouse!  A celebration!

What is more celebratory than a wedding.  My husband and I celebrated our 38th anniversary a week ago today.  And my niece is scheduled to be married in September.  So thought a wedding card would be perfect to share at this week's House Mouse & Friends.

I kept this one fairly simple.   Some sparkle in the flowers, and Wink of Stella clear dons her dress, which I was not able to capture in a photo.

Love House Mouse!

Hope you find some time to create!

Gnome Better Holiday

I clustered some embellishments on a card for the Christmas Throwdown challenge.  For this one I decided to cluster them on one single tree, leaving the other trees bare.

I pulled a brand new kit (bought it a while ago, but had not cracked the seal) for this one.  I pulled the sequins in from my own stash.

Go create!

Stencil Background - Days Ending in "Y"

Created my own background for Sweet Stampin' Challenge.  I've really been into the shaving cream/ink/stencil backgrounds. Added some paint to this one to give a certain sheen to my coffee beans.

Mmmm . . . coffee!  I do love the swirl of the brown and orange ink in some of the beans, and then in others there is some texture and the hint of shimmer from the paint.

I hope you find some time to create over this holiday weekend.
