A Masculine Card - A Feminine Card - Take Two

Yesterday I posted both a masculine and feminine card for different challenges.  I thought I would do the same today.  So first, the masculine card which was created for this week's sketch challenge for My Favorite Things.  Here is the sketch . . .

And here is my card . . .

The pattern paper I had came from a Studio Calico kit.  I wanted to cut my circle using the MFT Cross Stitch die, and one of the patterns had summer phrases that I thought would be a good thing to center and showcase within the dies.  And so using four different circles in the set, I cut away.

I also used word dies . . . happy birthday . . . from MFT Blueprints 26 set.

It is definitely not my usual style of card . . . a stretch for me, indeed.

But my feminine card was right up my alley!  I love how this card turned out.   I used the color combination at the Pals Paper Arts Challenge . . .  PPA263

Although my shade of purple is definitely a little lighter than what was intended.

I used the negative of the "friend" word die, as I loved the bold color with the white behind it.

I've been know to create linear cards and scrapbook layouts.  This is definitely a linear card.  I love some linear goodness.

Happy Monday!
