Painted Edges for Seize the Sketch

This was a Thursday night project.  I know this because on Friday at work a co-worker pointed out the paint that was on my arm.  I had it all washed off my hands . . . but not my forearms.  Hazards of a creative person!

This design was created using a sketch from Seize the Sketch.  Here is the sketch . . .

And here is my design . . .

I used Tim Holtz Distress Paint to dress up the edges on the right and left of the card, as well as to "ink" the edges of the pattern paper pieces and to stamp two of the three "happy birthday" sentiments.

I love the look of the paint on the two sides.  It's almost like a chalk effect.

Finished reading?  Then go create!

Supplies Used
Bazzill Cardstock
Pattern Paper from Scrap Stash
Twine and Button from my leftover stash
Tim Holtz Distress Paint
Stamp from Paper Smooches
Memento Black Ink
