What if I Fail . . . Oh but . . .

Today's card was inspired by the Tic Tac Toe Challenge board.

Here's my card . . .

And here's the challenge board . . .

By way of explanation, I went down from the middle row. Kraft carstock, which is amazing in the right places. A die cut, which was stamped, and then a color medium which for me was my Copic markers.

Here's my image . . . went darker with Pooh because it was vintage Pooh in my humble opinion.

And the inside, where the inspirational message appears . . .

My recipient will fly!

Just Choose Two Creation

Today's card was inspired by the Just Choose Two Options at Just Add Ink

For my options, I chose the sentiment and the embossing. I did some embossing on my background with an ink resist technique, and I also embossed my sentiment.

My colors were inspired by the pattern paper that I chose from Catherine Pooler Designs. I love how their inks match their pattern paper packs perfectly.

Find some time to be creative - never a bad decision.

Color Dare - Hello Card

I had a busy weekend using supplies that were collecting over the last several months on the side of my desk. When I saw the color combination at Color Dare Challenge, I grabbed some pattern paper that was left from a class I had taken several months ago.

This is an example of letting your pattern paper do the work for you and finding the right card layout to highlight the paper.

Thanks for Spreading Rainbows

Pastels was the inspiration at As You See It Challenge. I'm not always drawn to pastel cards, so this is always a tricky one for me. When I think pastel, I am often drawn to the rainbow of colors, and then from there can't seem to eliminate a shade. Today was no different.

I started by creating my shaker element with the rainbow and then planned out my balloon images on my card base.

Nothing like a rainbow . . . and with a rainbow sentiment.

Create a rainbow for yourself today! Happy crafting!

Friend . . . Take 2

With friend supplies already on my desk, decided to create another card inspired by the supplies and the challenge at Addicted to CAS where this week's code word was "friends".

This card was inspired by the word prompt. I wanted to be sure to keep it simple and went with the washi and dies to create my card. I used some layers to add interest.

I can always count on Pinkfresh to a lovely design.

Pattern Paper Friend Card

My card today was inspired by the word prompt at Just Us Girls, which was "friend". I pulled out a number of supplies and in the end was drawn to some pattern paper in my stash.

I had a zipped bag with the paper, some scraps of cardstock and that black border, so from there I pulled in cardstock and some additional dies to create my very subtle "friend" sentiment.

It's been a while since I added a pop of black to a card.

I hope you find some time to create.

Spiral Designed Card for Inspired By

The Inspired By Challenge blog was the inspiration for today's card. How about a little spiral . . .

I went with some florals, but the fun part of this card was the circular heart die that reminds me of a luminary.

I love how you can see the light through those tiny hearts.

I hope you get the chance to be creative today.

Red Alert at Little Red Wagon

Red Alert!

That's the challenge this week at Little Red Wagon this week. So I brought in some red pattern paper and some red inks to create a friendship card.

And did I mention red sequins! This is card with a card.

It's a "friend" card and a "thank you" card.

The lace was a border stamp and I stamped and embossed with white detail powder.

I hope you find some time to create!

Monochromatic for Freshly Made Sketch

Today's card was inspired by a pattern paper pack and the colors within. While the paper pack had a number of colors, this one ended up landing in the monochromatic space.

I used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I love the shift of the circle focal point shifted to the right of the card. It leaves room for a bit of white space and a sentiment.

I also love how much the Catherine Pooler pattern paper and ink are a perfect match!

Nothing like a good sketch to get the creativity to flow.

Sweet Stampin' Love

I clearly had a creative weekend inspired by a number of challenges. They all seemed to have the valentine, heart and love theme which made my supply collection very easy for creating.

The inspiration prompt at Sweet Stampin' was "love". I had been playing with these little heart stamps for another challenge, and I just couldn't get enough of them. I added in a die that spelled out the prompt.

These little hearts had me wishing I had some heart-shaped, frosted sugar cookies. And once I added the stickles . . . I wanted to eat them! But I kept them on the card.

And a look above at a puffy heart, which is a little blurry. Glossy accents and glitter create this yummy gum drop effect that I adore.

Find something creative to adore today!

Bit of Glitz in a Heart

My card today was inspired by the challenge at Just Us Girls, which was to use a heart die.

I cut my die from watercolor paper. My die had a coordinating stamp, which I had to bring in with some metallic watercolors.

Love a bit of glimmer and shine on my projects. And I love that heart cards double as birthday, sympathy and all the reasons to share love.

I hope you find some time to share some love today.

Be My Valentine Heart Confetti

I love mixing colors together, and the color combination at The Paper Players was so friendly, I just had to play along.

I did pull in some additional shades of two of the colors for some contrast in my hearts.

Fabulous combination of colors!

I hope you find some time to create today.

Good Coffee . . . Great Friends

I do adore my creative time with shaving cream and ink . . . consider it like the cream in my coffee!

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at Creative Friday - Cafe. No matter what coffee shop I go to, the warm cup and sleeve are so inviting to grab, and amazing coffee brewing smells are incredibly comforting.

I just love the look of those coffee beans, which is where the shaving cream and inks came into play. When I do this technique, I always wish I did it more often. It's a messy one, but it's so fun to see the marbled results.

My coffee cups made me want to hit the local coffee shop for a latte. Yum!

Make some coffee or make something crafty. And have fun!

Monochomatic for Color Dare

I love purple, so the opportuntity to create something in those hues makes me happy. Purple was the color at Color Dare Color Challenge

My inks are a bit more muted, as I used the Spa Collection of inks from Catherine Pooler. But they're so beautiful together!

I do love that the Catherine Pooler paper pack and inks work so beautifully together.

Nothing like some monochromatic goodness.

Sending "Puffy Hearts" Your Way

I love an opportunity to create my own dimensional elements. Today's card was inspired by the Inspired By challenge, where "puffy hearts" were showcased.

My hearts may not be stuffed with fluff, but I do love to bulk items up with Glossy Accents from Ranger, and then sprinkle on the glitter. It gives so much dimension.

They remind me of plump sugary gum drops. Puffy hearts!

Make someting puffy!

Waving Hello

I was inspired by Alphabet Challenge to create an underwater element on my card today, so while the fox and the chick are floating about on the water, the fish are below them doing their own version of floating. I'd like to think they are sharing in the fun.

I used pattern paper in my scrap pile for this card, and pared it up with an adorable Avery Elle stamp set.

Create your own scene today!

CAS Thanks Card

Sharing a clean and simple floral card using minimal supplies. The card was inspired by the challenge at CAS on Friday

I love this set from Scrapbook.com. It's a simple set, but it packs a punch.

I don't do CAS often enough. Love how this one turned out.

Go find something to create!
