Designed to Color Challenge

I came across a new challenge blog called Designed to Color which I thought would be just that . . . a challenge . . . since coloring is not one of my stronger skills.  So I decided to play along with the current challenge, which was a sketch.

Here is the design I came up with . . .

 

And just because I needed some coloring practice, I flipped the sketch a bit and went for a second design as well.
