Play and Pawty!

It was Word Week at Just Us Girls, and the word was "Play". 

As an empty nester with only dogs in my house, the most play that happens in my house is me in my crafty space creating card, and my dogs who bring on their own brand of crafty! I have two Miniature Schnauzers, Sweet Caroline and Jojo, and a Chihuahua mix, Carly, who thinks she's a Schnauzer, and she rules the place. Her toy of choice is Sweet Caroline. She plays crafty games to scheme against her and boss her around all day. 

Sweet Caroline's playtime involves the real deal . . . soft balls. She's not big on catching them, but she's big on nosing them around the place. She particular likes soft stuffed balls. 

My card combined my play with dog play! And let me tell you, every single day at our house is a paw-ty!

Woof! Bark!

When I saw the challenge at Little Red Wagon, I had quite the dilemma. The prompt was "Something You Love."

Tough decision . . . family? Friends? An emotion, feeling? My crafty supplies? Coffee? Pizza?

So I went with a card that depicts at least the family and emotion, and my beloved pets (who are family). 

My patio in my backyard is where I sit to watch the shenanigans between my three pups. They aren't big dogs, but they have big hearts and love to chase each other and romp and make noise. While I lounge in an adirondack chair, I watch them do all of the fun stuff. They make me smile. 

My grass is a knotted ribbon. My sky is a stenciled background. 

I hope you have something that makes you smile.

The challenge at Little Red Wagon was another Beatles inspired, and this time was "Let it Be".  

And so the letter B is the focus.  A Brown card base with a Background that includes some Blue stenciled Bones.  A Bottom Border with some Bark patterned paper.  A pup on a Ball that says HB2U.  He's rolling forward to grab a Bone off the ground.   

And the sentiment . . . Its Your Birthday.  Have a Ball!

I adore this stamp set and can't wait to use it again.  I hope you find some time to get Busy!
