Birthday Wishes for SSS Challenge

An emboss resist technique for Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which was "fantastic florals.  I used some old materials from a previous Simon Stays Stamp card kit to create this card.  I also broke out some watercolor paper and Ken Oliver Color Burst inks.

This is definitely not my typical card.  But the results are pretty cool, the colors mixing and blending.

If you're anything like me, I know you want to find some time to create today.  Just do it.

Cheers!

Easter Card for Cute Card Thursday

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday was a card without pattern paper, so I got those pastel inks out and got all inkified!  Here is my card . . .

I used an adorable stamp from Sugar Pea Designs to create this card.  Stamping it with snow out my door feels odd . . . but Spring is on it's way.

I hope you found some time to be creative today.

Accessories:  Whisper White Ribbon (Stampin' Up); Sparkling Clear Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)

Snowflakes for Muse Challenge

A little something for the Muse Challenge.  Here is their challenge card . . .

And here is my card, which while not colorful, has three shades of blue stamped snowflakes and a sentiment embossed on black cardstock.

Only one ink color was used for this card, but I stamped the image three times to get the gradient ink colors.

A simple but fun card to create.  I hope you find some time to create today.

Ink:  Fiesta Blue (Catherine Pooler); Versamark;

Bright and Shiny for Merry Monday

I had so much fun creating this card for Merry Monday.  Yes, it was a bit more work, but the creative process is my therapy from life, so this one was great therapy!

The challenge was to include a snowman, snow woman or snow family.  I just had to play with this new stamp I had in my stash from Art Impressions.

Certainly not traditional colors, but the pink just made me happy.  I started by using black pigment ink to stamp my images and I put clear embossing powder on them.  Yes, . . . there are two images, because the snowman has a layered piece that is on an action wobble.  So I colored the full image on the water color piece, and then colored the smaller center image to match and put it on with the wobble.  You can see the layering a bit better below.

Those arms and those little gifts shake and shimmy on that wobble.  Super cute.

I hope you are able to find some time to create today!

Cheers!

Supplies Used - Action Wobble Snowman

I'm All Heart Tonight

I created a number of cards today.  They were all inspried by and related to all those "heart" and "Valentine" challenges out here.

One at a time, and first up is The Card Concept.  This one is a  Clean and Layered Card . . .

A stamped image on the card base, and layered pattern paper with a window over that, and some layers of stamped XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO as borders.  And that raised heart.  Love it.

And then "Love is in the Air" for "Use Your Stuff" challenge.  Well, when i think of air, I don't think red.  I think blue and white . . . . hearts floating in air.

And this is all blue and white.  Pattern paper with ink that matches.

And then finally for the Stamp Ink Paper challenge.  Love!

This one is all red . . . . lots and lots of red.

I hope you found some time to be creative today, and if not, there is always tomorrow.

Cheers!

Color Throwdown and Time Out

Two more cards to share, inspired by a few challenges.

First up is a card for Color Throwdown.  Love these colors together.  Here is my card . . .

I used pattern papers and embellishments from Studio Calico.  They came right to mind when I saw the inspiration photo.  I do love that button in the center of the stamped image.

Second is a card created  for Time Out's challenge which had an inspirational quote:

"Friends are connected heart to heart,
distance and time can't break them apart."

I immediately thought of our ability to send mail to our distant friends, and I used the little heart sequins to show the "heart to heart" love contained in the little envelope.  I stamped this card on Desert Storm cardstock, which was different than the norm for me, but I love how it turned out.

I'm hoping to find even more time to create tomorrow.  And I hope you do as well.

One-Layer CAS Card for Merry Monday

For the first time in forever, I got the chance to get a little crafty today.  I really have missed getting all inky.

I do have a few cards to share today for a couple of challenges that inspired my creativity today.  First up is a card for Merry Monday.  The challenge was a clean and simple card.  Here is my card . . .

One layer cards are a challenge for me, but I love how this one turned out.  I used new ink from Catherine Pooler Designs, and one of her stamp sets as well.  I highly recommend checking this ink out.  It is fabulous.

I hope you all find some time to create today.
