Heart Happy Workshop Kit from CTMH

I got creative with some projects using supplies from Close To My Heart this month, fully intending to play along with some challenges at Heart 2 Heart.  It's been a while since I've played along . . . just trying to do better and create.  While I started a few weeks back, I completed my items today.

I used paper from the Heart Happy Workshop Kit along with various stamp sets.  I always create my layouts first, and then make cards with my scraps.

So here are a few layouts, inspired by this months' challenge at Heart 2 Heart, starting with the National Scrapbook Month challenge.  My pictures are still on order, but here is a layout inspired by the challenge.

I had to couple those awesome papers and colors with the Paw Prints on my Heart stamp set.

Check out my "O" . . . with that precious little face!  And the other side of my two page spread . . .

Some paw prints on the banner.

Now again, I always create my layouts first, and then my cards.  So "For the Love of Pets", I created another layout.  When I saw this paper, I had to tie it together to make some pet pages.  My pictures . . . on their way thru snail mail.  But my layouts are ready.

I made a few of those "Heart Diagrams".  It spoke to me.

And then the "Besties" inspiration . . . here is a card that I'll send to a bestie!  I can't help but think about Grey's Anatomy . . . Meredith and Christina . . . "You're My Person".

And then finally . . . something "Minty".

Festive Shaker Card

The Card Concept inspired this clean and layered card.  Here is their inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the medallions.  I had some paper on my table that I just knew I had to revisit and do some creating.

I had paper with circular, medallion like looks, and there were epoxy stickers that I used to tie some things together.

Behind those shutters is a window to a shaker . . .

I got a bit festive from that point forward.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Rainboot Craze!

I fell in love with this die from Simon Says Stamp.  Several weeks back I had cut pieces from pattern paper, and stashed them in an envelope.  I was inspired to create a card for another challenge which is in a previous post.  Last night I started cutting more pieces and completed two more cards piecing parts together for and Anything Goes theme at Happy Little Stampers

With the exception of the card base and those white postage stamp background pieces, this is all pattern paper.  Even the tulips in the boot were cut from a large gingham background piece in the paper pack, hence the variation in color.

Similar look to this next one, but instead of cutting a different rim, I just used Glossy Accents to highlight them.  I love these yellow boots!

And these patterns in this pack are amazing.  Love them.

I killed the paper pack, but I haven't seen the end of that boot die.  Love it.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Floral Frenzy Inspired by Little Red Wagon

I saw that Little Red Wagon had a theme of "flower frenzy".  I had to go dig up my die cut boot and flower pieces that were sitting on my craft table.  I created these boots using pattern paper, cutting from multiple patterns, and then cutting and piecing together.  I had cut many and stuffed them in an envelope to piece together . . .

Floral background paper.  Florals on the boot pattern!  And the flowers that are coming out of the boots.  That could be a floral frenzy indeed.

One of my favorite parts about these boots . . . the Glossy Accents on the sole and rim.

Delayed Mothers' Day

Honestly . . .it never misses a beat when I'm sending something to my mom.  The post office . . . U.S. Post Office . . . is always going to hack me.  Always!

And this year for mother's day, no different.  I put some gift cards into a card.  I insured it.  I send it.  And really?  REALLY?  Arrives about eleven (11) days later.

So . . .first things first.  I'm going to send everything two weeks earlier.  Seems strange that in this day and age we have to send things earlier when technology has made things faster.  But clearly not for the U.S. Post Office.  Clearly.  They've been dissing me year after year.

Here is the card that arrived wicked later than it should have . . .

I tried to use what I had . . . on my craft table, as my latest motto is to use my stuff.  OMG and do I have stuff.

I hope you have some time to create, and that the U.S. Post Office has more respect for you than me!

Happy Day Friend!

Balloon inspired at Seize the Birthday!  I pulled out a kit that was near my craft table, as I knew there were some balloon themed items in there.

And then the challenge is to come up with a design using those supplies.  Chipboard balloons - I had to play along and create something with them.  Hardest part was tying those little strings!

I hope you find some time to create today.

Rainboots Inspired by The Card Concept

I recently fell in love with a rain boot die that came in a card kit, and I went to work to cut, and cut, and cut from all kids of pattern papers to create some fun rain boots for some cards.  The pieces ended up in a little bag.

And then yesterday caught this inspiration from The Card Concept . . .

That middle boot was my inspiration to go back to all my boot pieces, and the yellow flowers in some of the other boots were another push for me.  I began to paper piece my boots and create a card.

I stamped my sentiment onto the pattern paper . . . so the only solids here were my card base which is barely showing, and my boot soles and trim which I hit with some Glossy Accents.

Even though I have little white space, I'm going with Clean and Layered for this one.

I have more boot pieces, so I'm sure there will be some future cards using these coordinating papers.

I hope you find some time to create today.

This card was inspired by a memory board at my favorite crafty place, StampNation and by the Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge for Sentiment Only.

Using a Tag for Use Your Stuff

The challenge at Use Your Stuff was to use a tag or a frame.  Love to use my stuff . . . and so I pulled a kit that I knew had a tag in it that I hadn't used up.  I created a snowy night background on the tag for my card.

I stamped and fussy cut my snowman and popped him onto the tag.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Cupcake Truck Birthday Card

Sharing a cupcake card for Shopping Our Stash.  I have been in love with this little truck and made a cupcake truck.  I used dies to make my truck and did some embossing of some pieces to give a metal look.

My cupcakes are puffy stickers that were in a kit that I received.  And the awning of the truck was some pattern paper.

I hope you find some time to create today!
