Inspired by The Beatles

Could not resist to play along with this week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, as the prompt was "inspired by The Beatles".

My brother taught me everything about the fab four.  I went simple with this card and a stamp with one of my favorite lyrics.

I adore the guitar playing in this song.  And I adore the sparkle of some embossing powders.

And a second version with a different pattern paper (because, why not).

I hope you find some time to create today!

Watercolor Inspired

I was inspired to make a watercolor background for the Watercooler Challenge.  It was an "anything goes feminine" prompt, so I decided to go floral with some friendly colors.

I started by creating my watercolor background piece using two of Nuvo's shimmer powders.  I went with a soft background so I could try to either remove or add color once I added my stamped background.  I stamped the background with a black pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then used my Close To My Heart watercolor set to add color to my flowers and leaves.

For my sentiment, I used some Wow embossing glitter.

No lie though . . . I left my craft room with ink stained fingers and glitter on my shirt.  :)  Worth it.

I hope you find some time to create.

Snow Much Thanks for Sweet Stampin' Christmas

Included a snow person for the current challenge at Sweet Stampin' Christmas and decided to make a holiday thank you card . . . I'm challenging myself to send more thank you cards this year.

I used supplies in a kit from Simon Says Stamp . . . still had some supplies hanging around, and I love to use the supplies that I have.

I paper pieced the hat, scarf and mittens.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Cardz 4 Guyz - Sailabrate!

Created a card inspired by the prompt "Celebrate" at Cardz 4 Guyz.  Of course, my sentiment is appropriate to the theme of my card!

I still have some "go to" guy paper from an old card kit.  I cut some sailboat pieces, embossed the body of my sail boat, and added some colorful sails.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Watercolor Creation for Color Throwdown

Created a little something inspired by the color combo at Color Throwdown . . .

I've been really trying to get into watercolor backgrounds the last few days so I used the color combo, made a watercolor background and then used a cover plate to create my dotted background.

I matched up some jewels to the colors and put them on my vellum sentiment.

I hope you find some time to create today.
