The Play Date Cafe #170

Loved the inspiration photo for this week's challenge at The Play Date Cafe . . .

And I had the perfect paper on hand from Authentique, which I combined with a scrap of Stampin' Up DSP left from another project and some Outdoor Denim ink from Close To My Heart.

Loving those pinwheels made quick and easy with the Fiskars Jenny Bowlin punch which I picked up at my LSS, New England Scrapbook Company.  One punch, a couple of folds, added a brad and wow!  Done.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  Bazzill
Pattern Papers:  Authentique and Stampin' Up
Punch:  Fiskars Jenny Bowlin
Brads: American Crafts
Ink: Close To My Heart
Ribbon: Close To My Heart
Sentiment Stamp: Close To My Heart

Denami Designs - Adorable Animals Blog Hop

I am excited once again to be participate in DeNami Design's blog hop. This particular hop is special to me because the theme is near and dear to my heart.  As the owner of four dogs and two cats . . . I love adorable animals!

You should have arrived from the very creative Andrea Fisher's blog, Five Pines Designs. If you want to start at the beginning or if you get lost along the way, you can head to the DeNami Design Blog for a full list of participants.

Here are the details:

When: The blog hop starts on February 10th at 6 AM, PST. However, you have
until February 11, 2013, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs
(to be eligible for a prize).

Why: To be inspired by fun DeNami Design creations and also the chance to
win mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Design website!

Prizes: DeNami Designs is giving away THREE $20 gift certificates to their website! One gift certificate to a random participant (DT members not
eligible) and then they'll also be giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO
people who comment along the hop!

My creations were inspired by a friend who is on the cusp of being a new pet owner. She has a teenage daughter who is campaigning for a puppy.  So I created a little card and a little gift to give to my friend, just in case her daughter succeeds (and it's looking good).

I took this slightly blurry shot to show some of the dimension, and my "for you" tag.

I am in love with that treat container.  The little milk bone biscuits were a recent find, and they fit perfectly into the Boutique Box!

Here is a close up of the card.  I used the washi tape to make an arrow to point out the very reason for my congratulatory card.

The box image was stamped with Stazon onto a paper bag (recycling at it's best).  The one on the treat box (below) has a slit cut into it where I slid the puppy in, and then I cut his little paws and glued them to the front.

And if you look close . . . my puppy has a layer of Fun Fluff.   I used some twine on the puppy's box, as though it was untied and he's popping out to greet his new owner.

I've included a full list of supplies used below.  I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my creation.
Your next stop on the hop is the very talented Deb of My Craftroom Creations.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and here's hoping you have time to create!

Debbie

Heart 2 Heart - Brrrr! 1st January Challenge: Snow Much Fun!

My first time playing along with the Heart 2 Heart Challenge through Close To My Heart.  I chose to start with the first challenge they posted this month, Snow Much Fun.  I used some old product and some new.

The challenge was to dig into your Wintry stash, and that I did.  I had the Wonderland Workshop Kit from last year which I got through a friend.  I used the cardstock in the kit and two of the pattern papers.  I also used the Sparkles which were in the kit, and some Glitter Paper which I had on hand from another project.  And that's the Bundled Buddies set from last winter as well.  Hard to tell, but there is some Liquid Applique on some of the areas of the stamped image.

Looking forward to playing along with a few of the other January challenges if I can find the time.
