I'm thankful for creativity, and with my daughters both having to work today, it was a quiet Thanksgiving at my house. So I'm thankful for my family, but since we couldn't have a Thanksgiving feast together, I'm also thankful for creativity which takes your mind off the lack of festivities.
I created a couple of cards for some challenges. First up was a card using the sketch from Clean and Simple challenge. The sketch (shown below with my supply list) was a simple one, and I decided to go for a one-layer card.
While this is a holiday card, it's not the traditional holiday colors. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I like that vellum element that I created for the sentiment.
For my second challenge, I used a sketch from The Paper Players challenge. I used some colorful paper choices for this card.
All of the materials for this card were from my October Card Kit from The Stamps of Life. While everything coordinates, finding that balance can be a struggle. I did all my stamping on either the yellow dot pattern paper or the tag that was provided in the kit.
Hope you are able to find some time to create over this holiday weekend.
