I combined the sketch challenge from Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge with the color challenge from The Card Concept.

How does my brain work? When I saw the sketch and that wavy border, I remembered that Paper Smooches had a wavy keyboard in the Beboppin stamp set. I wanted that to be my wavy border and decided to use that stamp set. For the circle, I decided to do an inlaid cut using the Pinked Circle Dies. The card base is showing through as a border. I did shift my sentiment from the sketch, as I didn't want to lose any of my sparkly plaid paper in that strip up top.
I just love this color combination from The Card Concept. I had to give some thought as to what my style for this card would be, and nine times out of ten I am "Clean and Layered." Today would be no different. I had a new stack of DCWV paper that I knew had a gray and yellow plaid. I chose a gray dot print to coordinate. I used the Many Thanks die to cut a white "thanks" which I then covered in yellow ink, and then versamark, and then some sparkly Stampendous embossing powder (two layers to make it thick but still allow that yellow color to show through).
Love that touch of yellow. It is perfect with my keyboard. Fun to do one challenge, and even funner and more challenging to combine two!
