One of my goals for the new year was to actually use my monthly kits that arrive in the mail, and showcase what I'm doing with them. Now, I don't get a lot of kits (it's only three), but I definitely have found that I struggle with using them. So my goal for this year is to use them or lose them (and losing them is not an option).
So this week I'm playing with my Simon Says Stamp January Kit. This is only my second kit from Simon Says, and I am loving it. It arrives in a box with some 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock, 6 x 6 pattern papers and coordinating tickets from Fancy Pants, and a few other coordinating embellishments.
So I decided I wanted to focus on using the 3 x 4" Simon Says Scallop Notecard that came in the kit, so I set about to create.
So I created a mini-card on top of my card base, and I found some googly eyes in my stash of supplies to add to the kit. I glued some of the eyes to the circles on my pattern paper.
Googly eyes?
Well yes, because inside the card, reveals a pink 3-eyed monster which I colored with my Copics. Isn't she cute!
A simple sentiment of Happy Valentines Day on the inside finished off this card.
I'm sure you'll see more of this kit in the coming days.
Got a kit? Go create!
This is so clever! It really caught my eye (no pun intended) in the Simon card kit gallery.
ReplyDeleteThe googly eyes make it look like the alien is peeping through a peephole, and that grin when you open the notecard just says s/he is very excited to see you.
