Wishing You a Colorful Day

I had an absolute blast creating this card with it's rainbow of colors using this technique on kraft cardstock.

The sketch was inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I did swap out flowers for butterflies.

For this card I stamped my background in both white pigment ink and some bright rainbow colors. I used those same rainbow colors to blend my butterflies.

My one alteration from the sketch was centering my sentiment. Because it was a die, it seems more appropriate to center it.

Take some time to create with a rainbow of colors.

Naughty or Nice?

The color combination at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown was my inspiration for this card. Admittedly my end result is a little odd, but my original thought in creating this is to have a choice of a green or a pink check on whether you wanted to be naughty or nice.

The little shaker with the options for the checks reminds me of one of those boxes where they say "Brake in case of an emergency." And behind the glass is a Snickers candy bar.

I do we think we have times where we can pick between both checks, so maybe pick both?

I hope you find some time to be n........

Belated Birthday Card with Critters

Wild animals were the challenge at Make My Monday, and so over the weekend I created this card which is full of desert critters. I've got a road runner, a fennec fox, a snake and a scorpion.

And while not a critter, I also have a flying cake.

And a "Happy Birthday" sentiment that sneaks in. My pattern paper is from Dear Lizzy.American Crafts and was perfect for this card.

I love interactive cards and find them so fun to make.

Peace & Joy

"Layer It" was the challenge prompt at Inkspirational. I unearthed one of my favorite holiday pattern papers from Catherine Pooler Designs.

A layer of white cardstock for my card base, kraft cardstock, strips of pattern paper, a circle of white and then a sentiment in gold. Add in some stamped and die cut images on kraft cardstock and sequins.

I just felt like I was recounting the receipe for Rachel's Thanksgiving Day trifle in Friends.

Layer something up today.

Party!

I created a card with these same supplies a few days back, and while the Party Word Die was still on my desk, I decided it was perfect for the Party prompt at Alphabet Challenge Blog.

I matched my ink colors to my pattern papers, and I used the pattern papers to create the gift being supported by the little doxie.

Here's a look at the card I created the other day with similar supplies - Paws to Scrap: Party Pups

I created the raindrops one by one with Nuvo drops. I think this will be a great card to add to my stash of get well cards.

Just a Note for Just Add Ink

My card today was inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink

I pulled out some paper and dies that I've had in my stash for quite some time. I used a blender pen to create my office supply elements and also stamped on kraft and silver cardstock.

Fussy cutting and paper piecing are my jam!

Party Pups

Today's card was inspired by the prompt at As You Like It, which was "favourite critter" (domesticated critter, that is).

Shocker, but as the photo on my blog shows a picture of a dog, I fess up that dogs steal my heart.

My dad inspired my love for dogs. My mom didn't want pets in our house, she didn't want the mess, chaos and dog hair. I wanted a dog so badly as a child, and I asked Santa for one when I was five. "Santa" delivered. He convinced my mom with a non-shedding dog. The rest is history. And so still have a non-shedder, but my life has been filled with shedders too.

I love that Photoplay had this fun paper with the pups and a die set to match. I cut them all out and have been slowly creating cards, mixing them with other pattern papers, stamps and dies.

Today's card mixes my critters with Pretty Pink Posh and Catherine Pooler Designs stamps/dies.

Find some time to create with a critter today! And use some chunky glitter!

Trick or Treat - Card Concept Inspired

I bagged up some old supplies today with the intention of creating some cards with a set on my desk that I meant to use in time for Halloween. Obviously, I missed my deadline. But I still wanted to collect up some items and have a plan to get some cards done before next year. I have at least about 355 days!

The Card Concept was my inspiration today. Sometimes it's hard for me to pick my style, but I would say this one is Clean and Layered.

I used a lot of pattern papers. The inspiration photo had me grabbing these pattern papers.
No foxes on the porch in the photo, but my foxes are dressed like the decor!

I had some fun creating this one. Add one to the pile for Halloween 2025!

Quilted Birds Slimline Card

Today's card was inspired by Creative Friday's prompt, which was birds.

I have so many bird stamps, but I pulled out this set for today's card.

This slimline card offered me an opportunity to have multiple birds. The colors were inspired by the pattern paper I was using, and yet I only used one of the papers and it only matched one of the flowers. That said, it's a great color combination for my birds.

I had fun creating this card. Well, when is papercrafting not fun?

I hope you find some time for some fun crafting.

Merry Christmoose!

Today's card was inspired by Tic Tac Toe's challenge. I went with the far right column down . . . a fun fold, free spot w/embellishments.

I had a fun fold card in mind, but also wanted to create a shaker element for added interest.

And so I created small shaker for the flipping portion of this card. I stamped the background and then added some shaker bits.

And what's better than one moose on a card? I second, hidden moose.

It's like he's waiting in line for his cup of cocoa.

The cold days are coming. I hope you have a warm beverage to cheer you up!

Inspired by Just Us Girls

The challenge this week at Just Us Girls was so packed with inspiration from the design team.

I went back and forth and created a few cards inspired by the group. The one that stood out the most to me was one inspired by Carol. Here is her card . . .

It was the cascading, hanging flowers.

I used this set from Pinkfresh Studios. I just thought it was beautiful.

It is rare where I have cards where the design cascades down, so this was fun.

I hope you find a way to be inspired today!

A little something with witches inspired by Inspired By . . .

I do love how the witches landed in a circle on this one.

I hope you find some time to get inky today.

Thankful for You

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at Little Red Wagon, which was "emboss it", and so I did!

For this card I used a background stamp to emboss with white embossing power. I had embossed on watercolor paper, so I used some Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder to bring in color, but then decided to intensify that color with some of my Catherine Pooler Inks in colors that matched.

I die cut the leaves from the background piece, and added them to a stenciled, ink blended background.

I hope you can be creative very soon!

Fall Card Inspired by Tic Tac Toe

Today's card was inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Here's the board . . .

I went straight down the middle for this one.

My die cuts were my sentiment and leaves. I added some texture to this card by triple embossing that sentiment die.

I love how cardstock becomes an embellishment with the layers of embossing glitter.

I hope you find some time to pick a tic tac toe lane.

Chalky Technique - Beautiful Inside and Out

The challenge at Time Out this week was all about the chalkboard for me. I pulled a set from my archive and some white ink and call chalk board, smudgy.

I did add a pop of color to my design, as I felt it added to my sentiment.

The chalkboard look is such a classic.

I hope you take some "time out" to get crafty.

Cheers.

Happy Halloween

I was inspired by this week's Just Us Girls' Inspiration. Who doesn't love a fabulous mood board full of Halloween themed items. The image that pulled me in were those witch legs. I'm a sucker for some cute witch legs.

So I staged mine, but a bit toppled over.

She fell into something, and her hat hit the ground. All the webs were surrounding it all.

I do love the coordination of pattern paper, inks and stamps at Catherine Pooler Designs.

I hope you can either make a witchy card or coordinate all the things.

Cheers!

Floral Inspired, Hello Friend

The Inspired By challenge had some florals in colors that inspired me to dive into my paper and embellishment stack. I held this paper aside from a previous project because I really loved the colors and textures of the paper.

I love using items in my stash to create, and I adore these florals. With some added cardstock and sequins, a card is born.

I hope you are able to use up items in your craft stash.

Let's Eat Cake!

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to get into my craft room, dig into my crafty stash, and dig out some fun stamps, dies and embellishments.

Dots were the challenge at Seize the Birthday. I pulled out an old die set from Concord & 9th's summer camp. I think this one was from 2022, so it was overdue for a play date.

So I brought in products from other companies and got busy creating a birthday card with some dots. They're big dots, in the form of the pattern paper.

The yumminess of the sparkly decorative frosting was compliments of Nuvo Confetti (also in my stash for quite some time).

Chocolate cake with a white buttercream frosting. I'm hungry now.

I love a good interactive card.

Find some time to create something yummy in your craft room.
