Two for Heart 2 Heart

I've not joined in on a Heart 2 Heart challenge in quite some time, so I had some fun playing with my CTMH loot today.

First up is a card for "Going Green" which was middle of the month.  I went with two shades of green for my card.

I embossed the edges of that focal piece, but also stamped and embossed the corners, and then stamped and embossed the pattern paper beneath it.

And then my second card was inspired by the Cut it Out challenge, which was the final one this month.  Of course, I had to use some die that I got during the sale.  Banners!

I went girlie on this one!  Pinks and greens and flowers.  It all works.

Always fun to play with paper and ink.  I hope you found some time to create today.

No Pattern Paper for Cards in Envy

No pattern paper was the challenge at Cards in Envy.  I played around with some card panels and ink that I knew would coordinate well, as it was my original colors from Catherine Pooler inks  They are my go to inks these days.  The first collection released were such a great combo.

And so, no pattern paper . . .

And I went with no sentiment . . . as I thought this would make a nice note card to send any type of note.

And with the same color combination, always fun to stamp away! Did some splattering on both cards.

I hope you find some time to create today!

House Mouse, Adorbs!

Sharing a card today inspired by House Mouse's challenge, which was "anything goes" with the option to add a ribbon or a bow.

I went with an image that included a bow.

I absolutely love how this one turned out.  The pattern paper was the perfect compliment to my stamped image, and that doesn't always happen.

And those darn House Mouse images . . . adore them.  Obsessed with them.

Cheers!  And I hope you find some time to create today.

Wish Big

This week's Muse Challenge was a fun one with balloons . . . I couldn't pass up balloons.  I decided to try out a new die that I had recently purchased.

It is a challenge to just have the silhouette of Minnie Mouse . . . but it was gun given that I was going for just those Disney mouse colors . . . black, white, red and yellow!

I hope you found some time to create over this past weekend.

Inspired by Muse Christmas Visions

I was super inspired by the current Muse Christmas Visions. Here is the card . . .

I saw the card, and remembered I had a reindeer stamp.  And so the creativity began, and here is where it landed.

I was inspired by the reindeer used, and the striped paper.  And if you look below . .  my sequins served as a string of lights all tangled in those antlers.

Love this little reindeer.

And I hope you found some time to create today.  (and if not . . . only about 30 minutes to midniight)

Going Green

Created a little something green today, inspired by Cards in Envy's Green Things challenge.  And what is more green than turtles?

And a lot of turtles, indeed.

I love monochromatic cards.  I just find them to be so calming.

I hope you find some time to create today!

Big Birthday Balloons

Sharing a card tonight that I made for Seize the Birthday . . . whose challenge this week was "anything goes".

Went with birthday balloons for anything goes.  Had pulled these stamps and dies out for a friend to borrow, and decided to use them myself before putting them away.

I made some big balloons and stamped sentiments on two of them, used pattern paper for another.

Always fun to play with old product in my stash.

I hope you found some time to create today!

Good Egg for Muse Challenge #256

I was inspired to create a monochromatic card for Muse Challenge #256.  Here is the card that was shared, which was created by Anita Bowden

I was inspired by the colors and instead of a die, used a stencil to create my card.  I did add some extra layers as well.  Here is my card . . .

Love the shimmer of that Nuvo paste.

Now . . . go create!

Birthday Critters

Sharing a card that I made using the inspiration at Stamp Ink Paper.  Their challenge this week was four legged friends.

I've long been a huge fan of my four-legged friends . . . have had a dog or cat, and usually multiples, in my life since Santa brought my first puppy when I was a kindergartner.   So I thought about those leftover supplies from my Simon Says Stamp kit that was all "holiday-ish".  I remembered the cat and dog stamps that came with the kit and thought, why not.  I can take those Christmas supplies and go all birthday mode.

I steered clear of reds and greens in the coloring of my images.  Does it work?  I hope it works.  I tried a little something different and stamped on a scrap of the Bazzill dot paper, which is a dry embossed paper.

Always love the detail a white pen will offer.  And the little guy on the right reminds me of a dog we had for 17 years that passed a little over a year ago.

Love my four-legged friends.

I hope you find some time to create!
